The USA is where Yellow Lotus does the most volume. We place IT consultants and professionals on every work-authorisation status — OPT, CPT, STEM OPT, H1B, H4 EAD, L2 EAD, GC EAD, Green Card and US Citizens — into the country's biggest product companies, Fortune 500 enterprises, consulting firms, banks and IT-services giants. Every engagement model: C2C, W2, 1099, FTE.
We work every common (and many uncommon) US work-authorisation paths. We tell you up-front what's realistic, what's marginal, and what we'll honestly turn down.
12 months post-graduation work authorisation for F-1 students. We market hard into employers comfortable with the OPT clock.
Additional 24 months for STEM grads — a near-3-year runway. We line up E-Verified employers from day one.
Work auth during your degree program. Limited but real demand — we know which employers accept CPT and how.
Employer-sponsored speciality occupation visa. Lottery + cap-exempt routes. We connect you to active H1B sponsors.
Full work rights as the spouse of an H1B principal. Most employers treat H4 EAD like a US Citizen for hiring purposes.
Intracompany transferees and their spouses. Common for transfers from Indian/global subsidiaries to US headquarters.
Adjustment-of-status holders with open EAD. Effectively no sponsorship needed — opens up the full employer market.
Full unrestricted work authorisation. All channels open: C2C, W2, 1099, FTE — Fortune 500 to startups.
Different statuses unlock different engagement models. We map each role to your authorisation and target rate before submitting — no time wasted on roles that don't fit your channel.
You're paid through a corp/incorporated vendor (yours or ours). Common for H1B transfers, GC EAD holders, and pure-contractor markets like Texas.
Employee status — taxes withheld, benefits included. Most common for OPT/CPT, H4 EAD, GC EAD and US Citizens on contract roles.
Pure freelance status. Limited use cases but higher take-home for short engagements where classification clearly fits.
Permanent hire onto the employer's payroll. Standard for Citizens / GC holders and the path most H1B/H4 candidates target long-term.
Entry/Junior: $75–95k · Mid: $95–135k · Senior: $130–180k · Staff/Principal: $180–280k+ (Bay Area & NYC product cos lead, location-based pay still common).
Resume rewrite, LinkedIn refresh, work-auth verification, target geography & stack confirmed.
Targeted upskilling on the stack you're being marketed for — interview-relevant only.
Daily submissions to vendor networks + direct-client briefs. Live tracking on every submission.
Coordinated technical & behavioural rounds with mock prep before each loop. Same-day debrief.
Offer negotiation, paperwork (I-9, E-Verify, background, drug), relocation, first-90-day support.
Yes — and quickly. The OPT clock is our most common starting condition. With STEM OPT extension available for STEM grads, we have a 12–36 month runway to work with. Average time to first offer for OPT consultants is 38–55 days.
We connect you to employers with active H1B-sponsorship history. We don't guarantee a sponsorship outcome (no one can — it's the employer's call and the lottery's call), but we only submit you to roles where sponsorship is on the table.
C2C: paid through a corp (yours or ours), highest take-home, common in Texas/East Coast contract markets. W2: employee status, benefits, taxes withheld — standard for OPT/H4 EAD/most perm. 1099: independent contractor, limited use cases. We map the right channel to your authorisation status before submitting.
No — H4 EAD is closer to GC EAD or US Citizen for hiring. No sponsorship needed, you can work for any employer, all channels open. Many employers prefer H4 EAD over H1B for that reason.
March-April: registration window. April: lottery results. October 1: H1B start date for the new fiscal year. We strategy-plan around this — for STEM OPT holders, we often target multiple lottery cycles to maximise odds.
Yes. ~25% of our USA placements are first-time-US OPTs. Plan adds a 2–4 week US-employer-fit phase (resume rewrite, communication style, projects on GitHub) before active marketing. Then standard placement timeline.
Yes — and including remote/hybrid. Volume centres are TX, CA, NY/NJ, NC, GA, IL, MA, WA, VA. We're headquartered in Charlotte, NC and have strong recruiter relationships across the country.
Depends. If you have an active network and are confident interviewing, maybe not. If you want sustained submission volume, salary negotiation help, and bench marketing while you're employed elsewhere — yes. Many of our placements are passive job-seekers (Citizens / GC) looking for the right next role, not their first job.
Some employers care a lot, some don't. We pre-screen and only submit you where the OPT runway is acceptable. STEM OPT (36-month total) substantially widens the pool vs non-STEM OPT (12 months).
We work TN (CUSMA professionals from Canada/Mexico) and O-1 (extraordinary ability) on a case-by-case basis. Reach out — we'll be honest about what's realistic given the current employer climate.
Free 20-minute call. No obligation. A real human replies within one working day.
