The questions every US-bound consultant asks first.

I'm on OPT with only X months left. Can you still place me?

Yes — and quickly. The OPT clock is our most common starting condition. With STEM OPT extension available for STEM grads, we have a 12–36 month runway to work with. Average time to first offer for OPT consultants is 38–55 days.

Will you find me an H1B sponsor?

We connect you to employers with active H1B-sponsorship history. We don't guarantee a sponsorship outcome (no one can — it's the employer's call and the lottery's call), but we only submit you to roles where sponsorship is on the table.

What's the practical difference between C2C, W2 and 1099?

C2C: paid through a corp (yours or ours), highest take-home, common in Texas/East Coast contract markets. W2: employee status, benefits, taxes withheld — standard for OPT/H4 EAD/most perm. 1099: independent contractor, limited use cases. We map the right channel to your authorisation status before submitting.

I'm on H4 EAD. Will employers treat me like an H1B?

No — H4 EAD is closer to GC EAD or US Citizen for hiring. No sponsorship needed, you can work for any employer, all channels open. Many employers prefer H4 EAD over H1B for that reason.

How does the H1B lottery affect my placement timing?

March-April: registration window. April: lottery results. October 1: H1B start date for the new fiscal year. We strategy-plan around this — for STEM OPT holders, we often target multiple lottery cycles to maximise odds.

I'm a recent grad with no US work experience. Will employers hire me?

Yes. ~25% of our USA placements are first-time-US OPTs. Plan adds a 2–4 week US-employer-fit phase (resume rewrite, communication style, projects on GitHub) before active marketing. Then standard placement timeline.

Do you place into all 50 states?

Yes — and including remote/hybrid. Volume centres are TX, CA, NY/NJ, NC, GA, IL, MA, WA, VA. We're headquartered in Charlotte, NC and have strong recruiter relationships across the country.

I'm a US Citizen / Green Card holder — do I really need a placement service?

Depends. If you have an active network and are confident interviewing, maybe not. If you want sustained submission volume, salary negotiation help, and bench marketing while you're employed elsewhere — yes. Many of our placements are passive job-seekers (Citizens / GC) looking for the right next role, not their first job.

Will my OPT clock matter to the employer?

Some employers care a lot, some don't. We pre-screen and only submit you where the OPT runway is acceptable. STEM OPT (36-month total) substantially widens the pool vs non-STEM OPT (12 months).

What about TN, O-1, or other less common visas?

We work TN (CUSMA professionals from Canada/Mexico) and O-1 (extraordinary ability) on a case-by-case basis. Reach out — we'll be honest about what's realistic given the current employer climate.
